By utilizing websites that work on specific skills that help boost the literacy problem. My school district uses. You can also find websites that works on beginning blends and rhyming words and everything else. Basically, the student’s of today are used to watching tv for long hours, so if you can find a website or computer program, that can get them hooked, go for it.

The technology can be separated from the literacy component initially. For example, people can be taught to operate a computer to play solitaire……that builds confidence that a person can learn the techie stuff.

There must be wide-spread, no-cost, no-criticism help available in both the technology and literacy skills. And information access needs to be inexpensive.
