How would you integrate computer technology into your instructional program?

I am applying for a first grade position. I do not personally have any programs and not knowing where I will be teaching, I don’t know what program the school might have.

It would help a lot to know your age group, subject(s) and what software you have available!

At the moment, my children are creating comics on Comic Life using photos from our class camp.

We have also made a slide show of camp.

I have maths groups work online doing maths games.

I have them do research online

They present their work (occasionally) in a Power point or KidPix slide show.

EDIT – at first grade I would be looking at reading and math games online as one of their stations. If you have Kid Pix, that is a great way for them to create artwork to go with their writing. If you have access to a data projector, you can show them an example on the screen of how to use the different programs. It really depends what the school has in a lot of ways.
