What is a good computer technology magazine?

My son is taking some time off from a computer programming job and would like to keep up with current technology in the field. What is a good periodical for him to read?

MacWorld. Why? Because Apple is usually the one to set new standards. Anything new usually starts at Apple.

I think, data quest is best.

I get Computer Active magazine, I think it is really good, you get technology product reviews in there, step-by-step workshops, news on computering issues and much more.

I like Smart Computing and PC World. They have a lot of How to Articles and Good tips and Ideas. I used to like PC Magazine too, but now its more reviews and ads. Even about stuff that even though they’re electronics, they are not PCs.
Computer Power User is another good one. Oh and Maximum PC (Mods stuff)

For programming, try Dr. Dobb’s Journal.
