Prior to 1975, there were not cheap, portable personal computers. So, here are some things possible today that were not back then:

1) Many computers at each election site to collect the votes

2) A graphical interface for the computers, making them easy to use by the common person

3) Use of internet to send the results to be tabulated

4) Individuals using their personal computers to do online research to form their opinions about candidates.

Oh, and one more. If someone really wants to work at it, you can actually get in and check the voting record on the candidates. Don’t bother if you are an Obama supporter though. He doesn have one.

I **** to bust your bubble but it’s web that’s made a difference not computers. Yes you need computers to access the web but your questions is how computer technology made a difference. Twenty year old computers with access to the web are relevant. Tomorrows computer with out access to the web would be irrelevant.
