Which department is more up-to-date in Computer Technology? NAVY or AF?

I would like to know which dept is more computer advanced. I am planning to join one of the 2 listed above, but have only been exposed to NAVY equipment. I just want to know what you all think, how about sharing your thoughts/opinions.
thanks!!!

I’d say it’s probably about even. The only difference is the type of equipment you’d be using for Navy will greatly differ from the type of equipment used for Air Force… but I’m sure that’s obvious.

Do not listen to Lillian.

They are both the same, they both get their technologies from contracted companies such as Raytheon, Lockheed, Honeywell and so forth. AF relies on stealth technology, as well as Navy with its ship systems (The latest DDG and CG, anyhow).

If you decide Navy, look into IT or CTN ratings for the most up to date stuff (you will need a TS/SCI clearance, though). CTN will more than likely place you on a shore command either in the tunnels of Hawaii or in a Pentagon command.

Strictly talking computer technology, not stealth, weapons or anything.

The obvious answer is they are equal. Unfortunately, the Navy has implemented NMCI – Navy Marine Corps Internet otherwise know as No More Connectivity to Internet. NMCI has destroyed any computer technology credibility the Navy has.
