I like Hardwaresecrets.com for one website I peruse:
Besides the articles listed on the homepage, also click on the headings in the top header. Cpu,(Processor related), Motherboard,(Pretty much self-explanatory), Storage,(Harddrive and related), Video,(Graphics and related), etc.
Not only do have reviews on the latest, and coolest new technology that’s come out, they have info on what’s to come out in the future, also. PLUS they explain in easy to understand terms basic computer technology. Hence their
statement-> ‘Uncomplicating the Complicated’
2.Tomshardware.com
Another really good computer related website.
3.PCmag.com
See what you think.
4.Extremetech.com
Edit:
A.Did you know Intel has installed, and ran two Quad Core processors on a single motherboard.
B.Overclockers have made a 500GHz processor, and are now trying to adapt it to a Personal Computer.
C.Nvidia is developing graphics cards to be small computers, that will operate independently of the computer they’re installed in.
D.Touchscreen monitors are out, where a mouse is no longer needed? (I found a website telling how to adapt a monitor, to be able to function as a touchscreen. Have to do more research on this.)
E.DDR4 ram is in the near future. (Not GDDR4. Graphics ram. That’s already out. DDR4 Sdram->System Ram
As for the life span of the DDr3 SDRAM in general, analysts believe that the next generation DDR4 SDRAM should come to replace it in 2011 or so.
F.PCI-Express 3.0 is in the near future.
Wikipedia.org
In August 2007 PCI-SIG announced that PCI Express 3.0 will carry a bit rate of 8 gigatransfers per second. The spec will be backwards-compatible with existing PCIe implementations and a final spec is due in 2009.
