Why has computer technology advanced so rapidly in the past 25 years?
i am writing a paper on the history of computers, more specifically the personal computer. I am starting with the Macintosh 128k and comparing it to a bottom line dell model to show how far computer technology has progressed in the last 25 years. What are the reasons for this progression? Is it technological, scientific, political, or economic? Did Reagan and Clinton’s policy in the 1990′s factor in, or was their one technological breakthrough that allowed this all to happen.
Please provide credible sources if possible or just tell me what you think. Thanks
