OPIC provides funding for US COMPANIES to invest in over 150 countries throughout the world. This includes Latin America and Europe. It was established in 1971.
“OPIC assists U.S. companies by providing financing (from large structured finance to small business loans), political risk insurance, and investment funds. OPIC complements the private sector in managing risks associated with foreign direct investment and supports U.S. foreign policy.
OPIC was established as an agency of the U.S. government in 1971 and currently does business in over 150 countries.”

THE ONLY way to qualify initially for this funding is if the project has NO negative impact on the US Economy, cannot result in the closing of or reduction of a US workforce and cannot fall within a sector that has experienced significant job loss in the U.S. within the past decade.
This is financing for US companies to do business in these countries, so it gives jobs to US Citizens when those companies are able to do business overseas.
