what exactly is happening in my flat screen monitor when it decides to show everything in a pinkish hue?
my monitor is getting on in YEAR. goddamn thing is already changing colors on me. as an added question what is the peak of flat screen computer technology? How much am i looking at burning if I decide to get lavish?

most of the time it’s a loose monitor cable
unplug the cable at both ends, plug it back in, and ***** it in tight, but not too tight

Purple hue means the plug is loose check the connectors on both ends to be sure they’re connected correctly and screwed in all the way finger tight only. Other causes are magnetic fields being close to the screen. If you want to get a new monitor I can recommend the Samsung 226BW its a 22inch wide with a 2ms response time and 1000:1 Contrast Ratio. I’ve been very happy with mine.
