I want to go into the computer technology fields when i get older, what can i do to prepare?

I am in high school and am taking as many computer courses as possible, i know HTML and i know how to use flash, dreamweaver, and a little bit of photoshop. i have a few friends that know “C Sharp” and other languages, like java and javascript. They also know about computer hardware and computer networking, and i dont know about that either. I was wondering, what can i do to get ahead of the game like them, and know a lot about that kind of stuff.

I will take book recommendations, websites, and even articles would be nice, or if you are really nice and have enough time, you could explain to me all of those things in an answer!
